Winter Promotions

Bruner/Cott is pleased to announce the following exciting and well-deserved promotions:

Adrienne Cali, AIA, has been promoted to Associate. Adrienne joined the firm in 2014 and has nationally significant experience managing historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects. She recently completed the complex exterior restoration of Harvard Hall, one of Harvard’s oldest buildings, and is currently the project manager for the multi-phase restoration of the Arlington Street Church in Boston. Adrienne is recognized by Preservation Massachusetts as a Next Generation Leader in Historic Preservation.

Christopher Nielson, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP, has been promoted to Associate. Christopher has been with the firm since 2013 and is a leader in high-performance and sustainable design. Christopher was the project architect for the Living-certified R.W. Kern Center at Hampshire College and is currently the project manager at the Charles River Speedway adaptive reuse project.

George Gard, AIA, has been promoted to Associate. Since joining Bruner/Cott in 2014, George has worked on a wide range of building types, with careful transformation and conservation of existing architectural resources as a central theme. His recent work includes the transformation of mill buildings into Phase 3 of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), a water tower into an installation by artist James Turrell also on MASS MoCA’s campus, and an affordable housing development in the heart of Cambridge, MA.

Kathryn Bilgen, RA, has been promoted to Associate. Kathryn joined Bruner/Cott in 2015. She is a highly-skilled architect and project manager, leading many of the firm’s multi-family residential projects. Kathryn is currently working on the Portland Foreside Redevelopment, comprising the transformative reuse of masonry buildings within the Portland Company Historic District into a vibrant space for market halls, event space, retail, offices, and more.

LeeAnn Suen, AIA, has been promoted to Architect 2. LeeAnn joined Bruner/Cott in 2017 and quickly established herself as a leader within the firm. She has worked on several complex projects including the transformation of the Smith Campus Center at Harvard University and the adaptive reuse of the historic EMF building at 120 Brookline Street in Cambridge. LeeAnn is also passionate about equity and social justice within the architectural profession and has helped the firm develop internal initiatives and programs geared towards education and action.

Carolyn Creemers, RA, has been promoted to Architect 1. Carolyn started at Bruner/Cott in 2017. In the office, Carolyn leads internal initiatives centered around technology and organizes fun, monthly office-wide contests. Currently, Carolyn is working on a new cadet housing project at Massachusetts Maritime Academy and on the mixed-use Speedway project in Brighton, MA.

Karno Widjaja, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to Architect 1. Karno joined Bruner/Cott in 2017. He is a Certified Passive House Consultant with a strong interest in high performance buildings and systems integration in architectural design. He is a strong asset on several of our project teams including the Frost Terrace and 2072 Mass. Ave affordable housing developments in Cambridge, MA.

Jackie Mignone has been promoted to Emerging Professional 3. Since starting at Bruner/Cott in 2018, Jackie has helped lead several internal volunteer initiatives that directly give back to the profession of architecture, including involvement with DigitalReady. She is currently working on the large-scale renovation of a mid-century apartment complex at 808 Memorial Drive in Cambridge, MA.

Rima Abousleiman has been promoted to Emerging Professional 3. Rima joined Bruner/Cott in 2018. She is passionate about leveraging her place in the architecture profession to design a just and equitable future for all, with sustainability and social justice at the forefront of her work. Rima is an integral team member on several of Bruner/Cott’s cultural and institutional projects, including the renovation and expansion of the historic Huntington Theatre in Boston, MA.
